We envy you for the beautiful views from the bridge \ud83e\udd70<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>So, you have arrived on Cres and are on your way to your desired destination. We believe that the journey will not be boring because these are the views that await you along the way:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"902\" height=\"630\" src=\"https:\/\/www.croatiastarvacation.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image-902x630.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have arrived from the direction of Brestova, a rather interesting location is situated at the very beginning of the island. <strong>Eco-center &#8220;Caput insulae&#8221;<\/strong>, that protects griffon vultures (Croatian: <em>bjeloglavi sup<\/em>) from extinction, is situated in a place called <strong>Beli<\/strong>. The coffee-drinking culture in Croatia is a very important way to connect with our loved ones, whether over important topics, during a break at work, or simply for the sake of soaking up some much-needed vitamin D. Good food and colorful cocktails can be found in the numerous restaurants and cafes along the beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adrenaine lovers can visit the diving center in the immediate vicinity. It is characterized by beautiful, clear shallow waters, which lead to deep blue shades, approaching the center of the lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"723\" height=\"462\" src=\"https:\/\/www.croatiastarvacation.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image-5.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>(Lake Vrana, source: CRO-PHOTOS)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do not confuse Lake Vrana from Cres with Lake Vrana next to Biograd (Dalmatia). \ud83d\ude03<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We continue our journey past the towns of Vrana, Martinscica, Miholascica, Ustrine, and descend to the town of Osor, as the crossing to the <strong>island of Losinj<\/strong> is also called.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since we are only separated from this island by a small bridge, feel free to continue your island journey \ud83d\ude03<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>STORY TIME<\/strong> \ud83d\udcd6 \ud83d\udcda \u2b50<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you like mythology? If you do, keep reading:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The legend says that prince Jason set out on the ship Argo to steal the Golden Fleece, which was owned by King Aeetes and guarded by a dragon. <a href=\"https:\/\/emojipedia.org\/dragon\">\ud83d\udc09<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The king&#8217;s daughter Medea fell in love with Jason and helped him steal the fleece. Together they escaped on a ship with the Argonauts, brave men that helped them too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apsyrt, the king&#8217;s son, set off in pursuit of them. He caught up with them in the Osor Strait. Poor Apsyrt was murdered and his body was cut up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The islands of Cres and Losinj were formed from his body, as well as their archipelago, which consists of 36 islands, islets, shoals and reefs.
